Domenico Arduini, MD, is an Honorary Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Rome “Tor Vergata” and Honorary Professor at the University of Buenos Aires (UBA). He serves as Professor in the Graduate School of Obstetrics and Gynecology, the Midwifery Degree Program, and the Graduate School of Forensic Medicine at both the University of Rome “Tor Vergata” and “La Sapienza.”
He is a recognized expert in maternal–fetal medicine, with particular emphasis on fetal neurosonography, fetal hemodynamics, and the assessment of placental insufficiency and fetal growth restriction. His work integrates advanced ultrasound techniques, including neurosonography and Doppler, to improve the evaluation of fetal brain development and its adaptation to intrauterine conditions.
Professor Arduini is President of the Commission for Prenatal Medicine at the Pontifex Academy “Pro Vita,” Head and Chief of First Aid of the Vatican State, and a Member and Chief of the Medical Board of the Holy Family Hospital in Bethlehem. He also serves as Consultant to the Grand Hospitaller of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta.
He has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and book chapters, contributing to the advancement of prenatal diagnosis and fetal neuroimaging with a strong, physiology-based clinical perspective.
